My dear boy:
There is a very simple rule in my house.
If we agree to meet at 10:00, and you walk in at 10:01, you’ve already insulted me.
You’ve told me that your time is more important than mine.
Being late is not an accident… it’s a character flaw. It signals arrogance and a lack of discipline.
In a world of Zoom calls and Google meets, it’s easy to think “a couple minutes late” is fine.
It’s not.
If you can’t manage a clock, don’t expect anyone to let you manage a company, or give you their money.
The rule is simple: If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late. If you’re late, don't bother coming.
Be the man who is always there when he says he will be. It costs $0, but it buys you trust that money cannot.
Yours sincerely,
