My dear boy:

I want you to imagine a boardroom.

There are ten men sitting around a mahogany table. Nine of them are shouting. Talking over each other, trying to prove who is the smartest, who has the best numbers, who’s the most “alpha”.

Then there is the tenth man.

He’s leaning back. He’s listening. He hasn't said a word for twenty minutes.

But when he finally leans forward and clears his throat, the other nine go silent.

Why?

Because they know who holds the power.

We live in a world of those first nine men. Everyone’s broadcasting their life. Everyone posts their wins, their gym selfies, and their "hustle."

They think noise equals status. They are wrong.

Noise is insecurity.

The man who constantly talks about his money is usually afraid of losing it. The man who constantly talks about how tough he is usually has a glass jaw.

I want you to practice the Rule of Silence:

1. Don't talk about your money.
2. Don't talk about your next move.
3. Listen more than you speak.

This week, try to be the quietest man in the room. Watch how people get uncomfortable. Watch how they try to fill the silence.

And watch how much you learn when you simply shut your mouth and observe.

Yours sincerely,
